I donโt usually like giving a set amount of reps and/or sets of an exercise to do ๐ฑ.
I do it with my instagram posts because I know that is what people need, and if they are not injured it isnโt hugely problematic.
HOWEVER
I always say to my chiro, (p)rehab and flexibility patients, and it is relevant to my followers too, quality ๐ over ๐ quantity ๐.
I donโt care if you do 60 reps of your rehab exercise, if you donโt do it properly!
Rehab particularly, but also conditioning, is about using specific muscles to make specific joints perform specific actions. If you arenโt being specific, you likely arenโt achieving the full benefit ๐คฏ.
There is also the added factor of neuromuscular patterning ๐ง .. Sounds nerdy I know, but I will explain it, and its implications to nice lines etc in pole, next time ๐.
So if you do some of the exercises I post, aim for the target reps of course ๐, but if you canโt do that many at a high quality – engaging the right muscles, then simply donโt do that many โบ๏ธ.

1๏ธโฃ Lay on your back with your pelvic floor + core engaged, with a neutral spine and neck. Bring one leg towards your face with a pointed toe until you feel a stretch in your hamstring.โฃ
2๏ธโฃFlex your foot. Do you feel a change in sensation, or an increase in your โstretchโ?โฃ
3๏ธโฃKeeping your foot flexed, bring the leg back down to the ground so you are laying on your back (change nothing except the angle at your hips). Does the added or increased sensation/โstretchโ from flexing the foot go away?โฃ
If you said yes to the above two questions, then the added โstretchโ you are feeling when you flex your foot is actually nerve tension ๐ฑโ. โฃ
